1. Few churches in rural areas have a dynamic women’s ministry. Often a single volunteer is expected to organize everything, even though she may lack the time (or talent) to do so.
2. Budgets for special events are nonexistent. Rural churches that are barely getting by financially simply can’t host a special event.
3. Arena events are still out of reach. Even if women from a rural community had $100 each to buy tickets to an arena event, they’d still need travel (and possibly lodging) to get to the cities large enough to be on the mega-event’s tour.
For these reasons, Keep a Smile On Your Faith™ is offered without charging a speaking fee to the sponsoring church. We do take a love offering, but we don’t require the host to supplement it to a predetermined minimum. Our Sponsor’s Guide has ideas for hosting this event on a shoestring, making it accessible to underserved areas.
We do ask that each hosting church devote serious effort to promoting Keep a Smile On Your Faith™ in their community and beyond. Free tools, templates and checklists are provided to simplify spreading the word.
