For us, nothing says "create" more than a clean whiteboard. Maybe that’s why we love room 210. Our church gives us the freedom to use any available room there as our “office,” but room 210 is our favorite. Can you guess why? It’s the whiteboard — a creative place where we can write our craziest ideas, and then erase them if they’re too wild or commit them to paper (or computer) if they’re good. It’s where we wrote the retreat, Keep a Smile on Your FaithTM.
Here we are in room 210 deciding which photo and logo to use at the top of this blog. The page you’re looking at is the result. We love it!
Where’s your room 210? Tell us where you feel the most inspired and what you love to create when you’re in that space. Better yet, send us a picture of you working in your sweet spot at blog @ debiandfawn .com (no spaces) and let us celebrate your creative space with you!

Oh Deb, believe me, you DON’T want a picture of my workspace! Someone would see my mess and know that they NEVER want to be a writer if that’s what being a writer looks like!
Blessings, my sweet friend.

My workspace is a dining room turned office. What used to be a room that was used only at Easter and Christmas is now workspace central for me. We removed the dining table and chairs, and moved in a table desk that sits under the chandalier. We also moved in the rolltop desk that sits against the back wall, and I have a big window in front of me that looks to the street. I now store notebooks in my buffet, and invested in a super cute lateral file cabinet that looks like a nice piece of furniture. In another piece of furniture that used to hold children’s art supplies, I have my books, mailers, and other office supplies. I now have everything I need in one central location: computer, copier, files, office supplies, notebooks, calendar, etc.
When we have more than 10 people over for dinner and need to use the room for dining, I simply clear the table desk, turn it longways, put a table cloth on it, and pull up chairs. It’s great!
